Perfume Sample Saturday - Cartier Baiser Vole Eau de Parfum - Review

Another weekend and another sample perfume to try. I must admit I am really enjoying working through all the vials and sprays that I have in my perfume box, each weekend I just pick one out and allow myself to experience something new.

Cartier Baiser Volé Eau de Parfum

Baiser Volé meaning Stolen Kiss

Description

A pure floral. A Lily, reinventing the freshness of the leaves, the floral notes of the petals and the powderiness of the flowers pistil. A stolen kiss, for a moment of pure passion.

Every aspect of the lily, a flower of unsettling femininity, is explored for the first time.

My thoughts

The initial spray is quite sharp and acidic and at that precise moment I wasn't sure whether I was going to like this perfume at all. However, once a few seconds had passed, this unpleasantness was replaced with the green scent of freshly cut flowers which was far more pleasurable. A few minutes later there was a delightful hint of floral. Baiser Volé finally settles to reveal a soft, sweet and quite simply beautiful powdery scent that is truly magnificent with an air of sophistication. If clouds were scented they would be just like this. Think marshmallows or a huge, bouncy four poster bed full of fluffy sheets and pillows. It evokes such sweet thoughts that I find this such a joy to wear.

It does remind me of Love Chloe which I find to be far stronger and more soapy than powdery in comparison.

Cartier Baiser Volé EDP Spray costs £47 for 30ml
