You Don't Buy Me Flowers

David spotted the flowers before he had even walked into the room, two beautiful bouquets prominently displayed on the table.
‘Who are the flowers from?’
Lara smiled to herself as she plated up dinner, her back was turned but she could sense the green eyed monster from the tone of his voice.
‘No idea, there was no note,’ she replied breezily. It had been a while since she had received any flowers. Her plan had worked.
David had slipped up, it was his job to buy flowers for his wife. Tomorrow he would call the florist and arrange a delivery.

Hope you enjoyed this story

  1. Sometimes you need to nudge that green eyed monster to do things that don't get done otherwise! This is nice!
